HANDOVER CEREMONY FOR THE ADVANCED COMPUTING LAB AND INAUGURATION OF THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER FOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

lễ bàn giao giữa IVS và đại học bách khoa

Following the Cooperation Agreement between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and IVS Corporation, Japan, on October 12, 2023, the two entities laid the foundation for upgrading the Advanced Computing Lab (ACLab) and establishing the Research and Development Center for Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (RD-SEAI) at ACLab. Today, January 22, 2024, the handover ceremony for ACLab and the inauguration of RD-SEAI were solemnly held. Attending the ceremony were IVS General Director Asai Takashi, along with members of the Board of Directors, and Associate Professor Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, along with leaders of various departments.

The RD-SEAI (Research and Development Center for Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence) was established to maximize resources from the university and enterprises to promote the research and development of advanced technological solutions. The center is designed not only to conduct research but also to forecast market demand, receive student interns, and develop new products. IVS General Director Asai Takashi shared that RD-SEAI will focus on areas such as security, smart factories, and social listening systems to provide market information. Additionally, the center will develop embedded systems and artificial intelligence in Japan’s market. Collaborating with Japanese companies, Nagaoka University of Technology, and the International Training Office of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, the center will also facilitate internships and job placements in Japan for students.

Ông Asai Takashi phát biểu

In the first five years (2024-2028), RD-SEAI aims to create at least three products branded IVS-BKHCM. These will be highly practical products that meet market needs. IVS expressed a desire to collaborate with faculty from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering to develop a software practice center at RD-SEAI. The IVS General Director expects the center to host at least 50 students who will work, study, and conduct research there. By 2025, interns at RD-SEAI could earn sufficient income to cover their tuition fees, securing jobs that align with their specialties and career orientations.
